Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

This role focuses on mechanically upfitting and assembling trucks, including Ford F-150 and U-Haul vehicles, in a modern, climate-controlled facility. You will read and interpret blueprints, use a variety of hand and power tools, and follow daily instructions to complete high-quality mechanical assemblies and modifications.

Responsibilities

+ Perform mechanical upfitting and assembly on Ford F-150 trucks and U-Haul vehicles according to project specifications.

+ Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to execute accurate mechanical assemblies.

+ Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to assemble, install, and modify mechanical components.

+ Follow day-to-day instructions and work orders to complete assigned tasks on schedule.

+ Inspect completed work to ensure proper fit, function, and quality standards.

+ Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve assembly issues and improve processes.

+ Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety guidelines and procedures.

+ Handle basic mechanical troubleshooting during the upfitting and assembly process.

Essential Skills

+ Hands-on mechanical experience, such as mechanical upfitting, automotive work, or similar assembly tasks.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.

+ Proficiency using common hand tools and power tools in a mechanical or assembly environment.

+ Experience working on vehicles, such as personal car repair or automotive-related work.

+ Mechanical aptitude gained through roles such as mechanic, upfitter, lube technician, farmer, or farm hand.

+ Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and consistently.

+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

+ Capability to work independently and as part of a team in a production setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Automotive assembly or mechanical assembly is highly beneficial.

+ Experience in roles such as mechanic, upfitter, lube technician, or assembler.

+ Practical experience from farming or farm hand work, demonstrating mechanical and hands-on skills.

+ Comfort working with basic mechanical systems and performing routine mechanical tasks.

+ Willingness to learn new procedures and adapt to evolving project requirements.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Liberty, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
