Job Summary:

The Lift Experience Assistant Manager leads Ticket Scanning and Lift Operations, and Dispatch, across the resort and is responsible for executing departmental, resort, and company-wide strategies. The Lift Experience Assistant Manager is held accountable to delivering an experience of a lifetime for our employees and guests, which, in turn, drives Vail Resorts growth and profitability around the world. The Lift Experience Assistant Manager is focused on scheduling, hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, development, labor optimization, day-to-day operations, and guest service execution. The Assistant Manager is uniquely able to lead and influence the Lift Experience department culture and standard operating procedure, and through that work, impact the resort and company.

Job Specifications:

+ Starting Wage: $25.00/hr - $32.14 .hr

+ Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2026/2027

+ Shift Type: Full Time hours available

+ Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age

Job Responsibilities:

+ Develop a high performing team through hiring, training, scheduling, performance management and development in accordance and alignment with company goals and strategies

+ Create authentic connections with others; inspire trust and manage expectations while empowering others to share in the decision making and work process

+ Develop future leaders while unlocking the potential of the supervisors, leads, and front- line scanners and lift operators Assist in development and execution of departmental strategies based around key performance indicators, including: safety, scanning accuracy, guest service, employee knowledge, employee engagement, workforce management, and budget management

+ Foster a customer-focused environment and mindset to ensure delivery of an exceptional guest experience through all stages of the guest journey Promote, embrace, and adhere to Vail Resorts' Mission and Core Values

+ Technical, operational, and scanning knowledge, or resort knowledge with high learning agility Works well as a member of a team of leaders, with an ability to influence major decisions through reasoned analysis, and good judgement about people and business issues

+ Able to constructively challenge and hold others accountable

+ Leads by example, possesses a strong work ethic, is collaborative, and has high self- awareness

+ Is decisive and maintains authentic humility

Job Requirements:

+ Must be at least 18 years old

+ Ability to work outside, on your feet, in all weather conditions for long periods of time

+ Track record of making independent decisions and taking ownership of outcomes

+ Ability to stay enthusiastic and perform well in busy and stressful situations

+ Willingness to work holidays and weekends as necessary Organization, accountability, responsibility, and punctuality

+ Proven ability to make independent judgment calls that are in line with departmental and company values and standard operating procedures

+ Professional guest service experience

+ Previous Vail Resorts leadership experience preferred

The expected pay range is $25.00/hr - $32.14 .hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
