Daily Floating substitute teachers needed for Independence School District!

You will be assigned daily to the most critical positions based on school location.

Substitute teachers may also be referred to as substitute educator, guest teacher, or relief teacher. Substitute aides may also be referred to as paraprofessionals, education technicians, teacher's aide, instructional assistant, classroom assistant or education assistant.

Minimum Requirements:

- 18+ years of age

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Family Care Safety Registry (https://healthapps.dhss.mo.gov/BSEES/Main.aspx?sk=SK2014873468)

Substitute Pay Rates:

- Substitute K-12 Teacher, including Librarian and Special Education: $130 per day

- Long-Term Substitute Teacher, including Special Education: $150 - $165 per day

- Paraprofessional- $16.23 an hour

Responsibilities and Job Description(s):

- Assume duties of the district employee in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies

- Empower students to learn, and encourage classroom participation

- For long-term teacher assignments, it may be required to develop lessons plans, as well as build, administer, and grade tests and assignments

Pay Rate:

- Substitute Paraeducator, including Early Childhood Education and Special Education: $16.13 per hour

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with lead teachers to implement lesson plans and provide additional support to students with diverse learning needs.

- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.

- Assist students in understanding and completing assignments, reinforcing classroom instruction while promoting social and emotional development by encouraging positive peer interactions.
