Location: Columbia, MO

Pay Rate: $21.50 - $23.05 per hour (depending on experience)

Employment Type: Contingent with potential pathway for hire

Schedule: Days, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Why This Role Matters

As a Phlebotomist II, you play a critical role in the patient experience and the diagnostic testing process. Your expertise in specimen collection, attention to detail, and commitment to quality help ensure accurate test results while creating a positive and professional experience for every patient.

What You'll Do

+ Perform venipuncture, capillary, and specimen collection procedures on pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients

+ Prepare, process, label, and transport specimens according to established procedures

+ Verify patient demographics and obtain required patient signatures to ensure specimen accuracy

+ Maintain accurate records and documentation while protecting patient confidentiality

+ Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming, professional environment for patients

+ Support both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing as needed

+ Travel between patient service centers and other assigned locations to meet business needs

+ Follow all safety policies, quality standards, and operational procedures

What We're Looking For

+ A current, up-to-date resume

+ High school diploma or equivalent required

+ 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections

+ Strong venipuncture and specimen processing skills

+ Previous Patient Service Center experience preferred

+ Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred

+ Phlebotomy certification preferred

+ Strong customer service and data entry skills

+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

+ Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license if applicable

+ Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and travel to multiple locations as needed

+ Ability to meet compliance requirements

+ Must be eligible and provide proof of eligibility to work in the US
