_The Operations Manager acts as the Transdev operations liaison working with the client's and Transdev employees. Evaluates and interacts with the vehicle drivers and their Operations team, to include coaching, mentoring, disciplinary, hiring, and termination as necessary. They are accountable for shift performance and compliance with processes, training, and system emergency responses. Assures coordination with other shifts and drives process improvements. Acts as an intermediary between the Senior Operations Manager and the shift Operations Supervisors._

Key Responsibilities:

+ _Supervise the daily activity of the Operations Supervisor (OS) to ensure efficient operation of the shift_

+ _Drive special projects and programs completion assigned by the Senior Operations Manager (SOM)_

+ _May be assigned to attend meetings with the client to represent SOM or other functional managers_

+ _Communicate clearly with the different stakeholders, both Transdev management and the client accordingly_

+ _Support client's operations leadership team in daily operations management of dispatch, including mission assignment, leading meetings, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders_

+ _Participate in Lean/Kaizen, and other Operational Excellence initiatives_

+ _Interpret metrics, finds opportunities and implements actions to drive results_

+ _Ensure compliance throughout the site to global process standards and works on continuous improvement initiatives_

+ _Performs all vehicle driver safety evaluation ride checks, observation of drivers while on route/test track, and prescribes the necessary retraining; Manage and administer the performance-based pay program for all subordinate employees. Involve the SOM for managers' evaluations_

+ _Coordinate, monitor and supervise the activities of subordinates. Informs other management personnel regarding operational/personnel problems as appropriate and offers ideas towards resolution_

+ _Ensure daily operation processes are conducted as expected, including, but not limited to: assignments, start of shift egress, out of office management, pre-briefs and debriefs_

+ _Responds to service problems including outages, rerouting, accidents and incidents with the goal of restoration of interrupted service and testing; supports drivers in preparing accident reports including post-accident drug and alcohol testing according to policy_

+ _Interacts with and assists passengers as necessary_

+ _Investigates and responds to unsafe location/situation reports; makes recommendations and/or changes to resolve the unsafe situation_

+ _Develops and schedules program work plan in accordance with specifications in conjunction with client staff; oversees daily operations and coordinates activities of program; determines priorities._

+ _Maintains routine records and performs a variety of clerical work activities related to the property operation_

+ _Maintains high degree of confidentiality of all information_

+ All other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

+ _Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or 2+ years of operations experience leading teams_

+ _Preferred Education: Degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field is a plus_

_2 or more years of relevant experience desired, but not necessary; however, some supervisory experience, required_

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

+ _Knowledge of service area and ability to read a map/digital map directions_

+ _Ability to use a computer to generate reports and schedules_

+ _Ability to supervise others and make quality business decisions regarding operations_

+ _Ability to read, understand, and interpret system operating rules, regulations, policies, phases and routes_

+ _Good written and oral communication skills_

+ _Ability to organize and perform work efficiently; strong analytical skills and attention to details_

+ _Travel up to 20% of the time_

+ _Must be on call and responsive for 24/7 operations_

+ _Work flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights and/or holidays including standing and walking for up to 10 hours during shifts_

Physical Requirements:

+ _Long periods of standing, walking, and sitting_

+ _Use hands to finger; handle or feel; and talk or hear; climb stairs and/or ladders_

+ _Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl_

+ _Majority of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities_

+ _May work in extreme heat and cold, and in damp environment with moderate noise_

+ _Work is occasionally accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a computer_

+ _Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds_

+ _Must use close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus._

Pre-Employment Requirements:

+ _Must be 21 years of age_

+ _All Transdev employees must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Safety Sensitive Positions will also be subject to a physical screening_

+ _Transdev maintains a Drug Free Workplace and may require participation in a random drug screening program_
