Required Skills:

Software Engineer - Android (Technical Leadership) Responsibilities:

1. Drive the team's goals and technical direction to pursue opportunities that make your larger organization more efficient

2. Effectively communicate complex features and systems in detail

3. Understand industry & company-wide trends to help assess & develop new technologies

4. Partner & collaborate with organization leaders to help improve the level of performance of the team & organization

5. Identify new opportunities for the larger organization & influence the appropriate people for staffing/prioritizing these new ideas

6. Lead long term technical vision and roadmap for large cross-company efforts

7. Suggest, collect and synthesize requirements and create an effective feature roadmap

8. Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues, and drive large efforts to reduce technical debt

Minimum Qualifications:

9. Experience driving large cross-functional/industry-wide engineering efforts

10. Experience mentoring/influencing executive stakeholders across organizations

11. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience

12. Experience communicating and working across functions to drive solutions

13. Proven track record of planning multi-year roadmap in which short-term projects ladder to the long-term mission

14. 12+ years of programming experience in a relevant language OR 8+ years experience with a PhD

15. Experience utilizing data and analysis to explain technical problems and provide detailed feedback and solutions

16. Experience with multithreading programming and mobile memory management

17. 4+ years of experience building Android applications in Java using Android SDK

18. Shipped at least one large-scale product to production, supporting millions of active users

19. Experience building maintainable and testable code bases, including API design and unit testing techniques

20. Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)

21. Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)

22. Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies

Public Compensation:

$219,000/year to $301,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
