Christian Hospital EMS Academy is seeking a PRN dedicated EMS Educator to support the development of future EMS professionals. _Northwest HealthCare_ , six miles west of Christian, offers 24- hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

A Paramedic that has a comprehensive knowledge base and is able to diagnose and provide care for a broad range of medical emergencies. Provides advanced-level medical care including evaluation, treatment, primary care and stabilization to the ill and injured.

Responsibilities

+ Participates in the planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of EMS educational program offerings.

+ Prepares and delivers instruction either at the EMS Academy or off-site, as needed; supervises the activities of course participants during instructional time; and evaluates learner performance, provides feedback, and develops learner remediation plans.

+ Fulfills EMS educational program administrative requirements, to include calculation and submission of grades, maintenance of program, course, and student/participant records, and preparation and submission of data and reports.

+ Participates in activities that promote the EMS Academy, to include student recruiting, and program marketing events, as appropriate.

+ May lead, guide, and train staff/student employees, interns, and/or volunteers performing related work; may participate in the recruitment of volunteers, as appropriate to the area of operation.

Minimum Requirements

Education

+ High School Diploma or GED

Licenses & Certifications

+ Advanced Cardiac Life Support

+ Basic Life Support (BLS)

+ Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

+ Valid Driver's License

+ PALS

+ Paramedic

Preferred Requirements

Experience

+ 2-5 years
