Location: Columbia, MO

Pay Rate: $21.50 - $23.05 per hour (based on experience)

Employment Type: Contingent with potential pathway for hire

Schedule: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Why This Role Matters

As a Phlebotomist II, you play a critical role in the patient experience and diagnostic testing process. Your expertise in specimen collection, attention to detail, and commitment to exceptional service help ensure accurate laboratory results while creating a positive and professional experience for every patient.

What You'll Do

+ Collect high-quality blood specimens through venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, and geriatric collections

+ Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures

+ Verify patient identification, demographic information, and specimen labeling accuracy

+ Obtain patient signatures and ensure specimens are properly labeled in the patient's presence

+ Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing duties

+ Maintain accurate records and documentation while safeguarding patient confidentiality

+ Create a welcoming and professional environment that promotes patient trust and confidence

+ Support operations at patient service centers, physician offices, and other assigned locations as needed

+ Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment

What We're Looking For

+ A current, up-to-date resume

+ High school diploma or equivalent required

+ 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections

+ Strong venipuncture and specimen collection skills

+ Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred

+ Phlebotomy certification preferred

+ Two years of Patient Service Center experience preferred

+ Customer service experience in a retail, healthcare, or service environment highly preferred

+ Keyboard and data entry experience

+ Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision

+ Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment

+ Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel between locations as needed

+ Strong communication skills and commitment to excellent patient care

+ Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules based on business needs

+ Ability to meet compliance requirements

+ Must be eligible and provide proof of eligibility to work in the US
