BJC is hiring for a Sr. Solutions Infrastructure Engineer. We are looking for candidates local to the metro St. Louis area. The ideal applicant will have windows, Linux, and patch management experience.

Information Services is comprised of over 650 individuals working together to provide effective delivery of system development, implementation and support as well as strategic IT planning and analysis to BJC's Hospitals and Health Service Organizations.

Role Purpose

The Infrastructure Solutions Engineer (ISE) is primarily responsible for the design and deployment of technical configuration Items from the approved technology portfolio to support larger and more complex business solutions. The Sr. ISE plays a broader role in managing Technical Debt through proactive identification of risks and threats of legacy platforms and providing proposals for remediations

Responsibilities

+ Designs large or complex systems and undertakes impact analysis on major design options and trade-offs. Takes technical responsibility across all stages and iterations of configuration development and deployment.

+ Adopts and adapts system design methods, tools and techniques. Contributes to development of system design policies, standards and selection of architecture components.

+ Produces, or approves network providers', network architectures, topologies and configuration databases for own area of responsibility.

+ Specifies design parameters for network connectivity, capacity, speed, interfacing, security and access, in line with business requirements.

+ Collaborates with those responsible for ongoing systems and software life cycle management to select, adopt and adapt working practices.
