Responsible for the supervision, formulation, administration and coordination of industrial engineering policies designed to improve operating performance, reduce waste and delays and otherwise promote cost reductions on a company-wide basis; responsible for using time study or standard data for a variety of machine, assembly and hand operations, production methods, equipment layout, material handling, and manpower; equipment and material utilization in order to improve operating performance; supporting Engineering Cost Estimators by suppling data from existing projects or validating assumption for new projects to he1p generate cost assumptions for the assembly process, square footage requirements, materials handling & facilities capital/tooling investments and direct/indirect labor; purchasing in evaluation of new suppliers for material handling and facility products and technologies to help maintain a competitive edge in the industry; Engineering related communication internally and with the Customer, including technical presentation, design review, capacity analysis, and feasibility studies; utilize and apply knowledge of 5S, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), Minitab, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Lean Six Sigma, DMAIC, Root Cause Analysis, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), FMEA, Capacity Planning, Material Flow Analysis, and Inventory Optimization to complete necessary tasks; initial (Pre-SOP) facility plan including Plant Floor Layout, Material Flow Analysis and Inventory Optimization; Broadcast Analysis, Throughput Analysis, and/or Simulation using software such as ProModel- Focus on dock to dock understanding of how facilities and customer delivery requirements; supporting Packaging Engineer with input to the design process focused on optimization to support improved labor efficiencies, ergonomics, plant 1ayout and freight optimization; developing and track capital investment budgets for assigned projects; development of all RFQ's and Equipment Specifications, as needed; driving lean concepts (5S, Kanban, Visual Factory, TPM, etc.) throughout the organization; implementing process improvements to improve overall efficiencies, including automation; benchmarking processes and equipment throughout the industry and incorporating, into Piston Standards; problem solving and resolution of issues at alt sites as directed or required; and supports team during crisis management.

Salary: $87,116 per year;

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);

Experience: One (1) year in the position above, as a Design Engineer, as a Quality Engineer, as a Systems Engineer / Project Engineer, or in a related occupation;

Other Requirements: Experience must include one (1) year’s use of all the following: 5S, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), Minitab, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Lean Six Sigma, DMAIC, Root Cause Analysis, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), FMEA, Capacity Planning, Material Flow Analysis, and Inventory Optimization.
