Our client seeks a software engineer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance services using Rust with a focus on reliability. The role includes implementation of actor-based and event-driven patterns, microservices architecture, and distributed systems tooling to deliver scalable solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

_This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance._

Rate: $70.00 to $80.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

+ Design, develop, and maintain applications using Rust with an emphasis on performance and reliability.

+ Implement and work with the Actor pattern, leveraging frameworks such as Microsoft Orleans.

+ Develop microservices architectures and utilize the Sidecar pattern for service management.

+ Implement event-driven architectures using Event Sourcing and CQRS patterns.

+ Integrate and work with Dapr for building distributed applications.

+ Collaborate with teams to design and implement scalable solutions using EventStoreDB.

+ Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of services.

+ Mentor junior developers and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.

Experience Requirements:

+ Extensive experience in software development with a strong focus on Rust and/or Go.

+ Proficiency in C# and experience with the Actor pattern, particularly using Microsoft Orleans.

+ Strong understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns.

+ Experience with Event Sourcing and CQRS patterns.

+ Familiarity with Dapr and the Sidecar pattern for building distributed systems.

+ Experience with EventStoreDB is a plus.

+ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

+ Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
