BASIC PURPOSE
To provide a safe and reliable fleet by performing preventative maintenance and proper repairs on all fleet equipment.
Tool allowance included to support your trade.
Fleet Mechanics may earn up to $37.00 per hour PLUS overtime!
+ 401K with 2% automatic company contribution plus company match up to an additional 6%.

Sunday - Thursday 10:00PM to 6:00 AM
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
+ Complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates, etc.).
+ Take directions from and assist senior technicians with repairs.
+ Utilize fleet maintenance system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.
+ Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules/regulations and government guidelines.
+ Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications.
+ Other duties as assigned by manager.

+ Internal: All Fleet Technicians, Drivers, Coordinators and Manager
+ External: N/A
WORK ENVIRONMENT
+ Onsite : The associate in this role is expected to perform assigned responsibilities inside a US Foods maintenance facility.
+ Ability to work flexible schedule.
+ Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
+ Must have 1 year of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic.
+ Must furnish own personal hand tools.
+ Able to read and write legibly (e.g., to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, and enter information on reports if needed); basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, divide).
EDUCATION
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
CERTIFICATIONS/TRAINING

LICENSES
+ Must possess a valid driver's license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
+ Valid Class A CDL license and DOT certification
+ Experience with Maximo fleet maintenance system
