Job Title: Mechanical Assembler Job Description

The Mechanical Assembler will perform mechanical upfitting on Ford Transit vans, specifically working on Spectrum cable vans. This role involves installing and pre-assembling shelving units. A strong knowledge of hand and power tools, along with the ability to read blueprints, is essential.

Responsibilities

+ Perform mechanical upfitting on Ford Transit vans.

+ Install and pre-assemble shelving units.

+ Utilize hand and power tools effectively.

+ Read and interpret blueprints accurately.

+ Complete upfitting tasks on 20-30 vans per day.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with mechanical assembly for at least 1 year.

+ Proficiency with hand and power tools, including impact drills and screwdrivers.

+ Ability to read tape measures and blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous experience in upfitting or automotive facilities is advantageous.

+ Background as a lube technician is beneficial.

Work Environment

The work environment is located underground in caves, providing a comfortable temperature range of 60-70 degrees. The role involves working in teams of 10 or more in a fast-paced setting. Proper attire includes steel-toed boots, jeans or work pants, and a work shirt. Eye and ear protection will be provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of KANSAS CITY, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
