Job Location: This position will be located at 205 Jefferson St., Jefferson City, MO 65101. OR 1390 Timberlake Manor Parkway, Chesterfield MO 63017.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

- Understand and interpret regulation as it relates to child care comprehensive criminal background screenings.
- Provide consultation and technical assistance to office staff, other agency staff, and child care facility staff regarding the regulatory background check process requirements.
- Assist the Program Coordinator in developing and implementing policies, procedures, forms, and communications regarding the regulatory background check process requirements.
- Review and process forms submitted by child care providers to request background screenings on current or prospective staff.
- Complete National Sex Offender Registry named based searches and document results.
- Access fingerprint and Family Care Safety Registry screening results to review for ineligible offenses.
- Collaborate with individuals and other states to process out of state background screenings as required.
- Complete system data entry to document and track processing of background screening requests.
- Prepare appropriate letters based on outcome of background screening.
- Demonstrate regular, reliable, and engaged attendance.
