Job Description Role summary:

The (USA) Journeyman Electrician, Facility Services, is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and compliance of facilities and equipment. This role requires diagnosing electrical issues, executing repairs, and coordinating maintenance activities while adhering to regulatory standards. The position involves managing work orders, documenting maintenance tasks, and supporting emergency responses. The Journeyman Electrician collaborates with teams to maintain operational excellence, promotes safety, and upholds company policies and ethical standards to support facility reliability and business continuity.

About the team:

The Facilities Maintenance team ensures Walmart properties remain safe, clean, and fully operational by managing maintenance projects, vendor partnerships, and budgets effectively. They prioritize safety and quality while responding promptly to service requests and collaborating with key stakeholders. Focused on continuous improvement, the team adapts facility operations and equipment management to meet evolving business needs. Committed to integrity and operational excellence, they support seamless business functions across locations, driving efficient facility management and upholding high standards in safety, supply chain, and financial oversight.

What you'll do:

+ Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities and equipment.

+ Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical systems using blueprints, manuals, and appropriate tools.

+ Document maintenance activities, repair needs, and capital expense information accurately.

+ Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and coordinate with contractors to meet quality and safety standards.

+ Respond promptly to emergency calls and participate in on-call rotations as required.

+ Operate and maintain vehicles and powered equipment following safety procedures and regulatory compliance.

+ Collaborate with team members to improve processes and support business priorities.

What you'll bring:

+ Proven experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and facility equipment.

+ Ability to interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs to diagnose and resolve issues.

+ Skilled in using hand and power tools, hoists, and material handling equipment safely and effectively.

+ Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations to ensure compliance and maintain a safe work environment.

+ Strong documentation skills for maintenance activities, work orders, and warranty claims.

+ Capability to manage maintenance schedules, coordinate contractors, and track parts and expenses.

+ Flexibility to participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly to emergency maintenance needs.

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00 - $63.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

2 years' experience in the electrical trade.

Licensed Journeyman Electrician or equivalent in state of work.

Valid state-issued driver's license.

License in related trade in city and/or state of work

Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program, Experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
