As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Field Patrol in Berkeley, MO , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour

How This Role Works:

+ Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

+ Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

+ Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.

+ Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.

+ Monitor incoming and outgoing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, verify authorized access, and document relevant security-related activity in accordance with site procedures.

+ Maintain professional communication with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership, promptly reporting hazards, incidents, and unusual conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.

+ Possess an armed guard card or license.

+ Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.

+ Possess baton certification, preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
