About the Job

We're seeking a highly skilled lead engineer to modernize OHAI's Revenue Cycle product portfolio with AI smart applications. As an engineering lead, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, developing, and deploying state-of-the-art cloud native applications to power our Revenue Cycle product suite. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, software engineers, and data scientists to unlock machine learning capabilities in all our products. Our new platform will be built directly on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) based on cloud native principles. We build to scale globally, leveraging state-of-the-art tooling, with zero downtime.

As a Lead Principal Member on this Team, you will be leading the effort in defining, designing, and delivering the platform using latest technologies on OCI. You will partner with product team, learn about the existing challenges, and influence the vision and direction. You will own the entire software lifecycle - development, testing, CI/CD and production operations. You must balance between product feature development and production operational concerns like writing run books, ops automation, structured logging, instrumentation for metrics and events leveraging a plethora of internal tooling at OCI.

From a technology perspective, this is a greenfield development environment with a huge amount of autonomy, leaving us free to build and innovate without being encumbered by legacy products and services.

+ You are an experienced cloud engineer with a proven track record of delivering high-scale, high-impact solutions

+ You are obsessed with the customer, always exceeding expectations

+ You are a disciplined engineer who understands the importance of high standards, never satisfied with mediocrity and constantly striving for excellence

Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

+ BS or MS degree in computer science, or equivalent

+ 10+ years of developing and shipping enterprise distributed and/or cloud native systems

+ Strong grasp of system design fundamentals and distributed systems architectural best practices

+ Demonstrated ability to write great code in Java, Python, or similar OO languages

+ Experience with web application development using microservices frameworks such as Helidon, Dropwizard, Spring, etc.

+ Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)

+ Demonstrated ability to influence full system architecture

+ Strong desire to make an impact and thrive in collaborative and energetic environments

+ Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts verbally and through design aspects

Preferred Qualifications

+ MS in Computer Science

+ Experience in a fast-paced start-up environment

+ Experience building control plane/data plane solutions for cloud native companies

+ Experience in diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving performance issues in complex environments

+ Deep understanding of Unix-like operating systems

+ Production experience with Cloud and ML technologies

+ Data science and machine learning knowledge would be helpful but not required

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $104,600 to $264,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
