Summary
Description SEASONAL CLERICAL SUPPORT-SR. TAX RELIEF INTERMITTENT SUPPORT COLLECTOR OF REVENUE St. Charles County Collector of Revenue is hiring clerical help to assist with the Seniors Real Estate Property Tax Relief program. CLERICAL SUPPORT - Salary: $16.50 per hour - Up to 4 positions available RESPONSIBILITIES: Responds to inquiries from walk-in taxpayers and provides and records information as appropriate. Greets and assists taxpayers face to face. Collects and records tax payments from taxpayers and records actions taken. Issues documents (Statements, Receipts, Duplicates, Certificates of Non-Assessment) to customers according to guidelines. Verifies all information obtained to ensure accuracy, and makes necessary changes as needed according to guidelines. Assists in processing incoming mail and determining if documents received require special handling. Researches to locate new address on returned mail. Codes and files returned mail. Researches information that is not on current online system. Performs data entry into collections system, spreadsheet and word processing files. Verifies all information obtained to ensure accuracy and makes necessary changes. Stuffs envelopes, verifies and tracks information, organizes files and data, makes copies, files, sends e-mails, researches computer records and websites.
