Special Care Aide SCA

As a Special Care Aide, You'll Contribute to Our Success By:

+ Supporting new client admissions and Start of Care visits

+ Providing personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene

+ Preparing meals and assisting with daily living activities

+ Performing housekeeping and household support

+ Assisting with errands and transportation when appropriate

+ Monitoring and reporting changes in client condition

+ Maintaining accurate documentation and visit records

+ Providing coverage for open shifts, call-offs, and urgent staffing needs

+ Traveling throughout the assigned service area to support clients

+ Promoting Elara Caring's mission and commitment to quality care

What Is Required?

+ High School Diploma or GED, where required by state regulations

+ Minimum six (6) months of experience caring for elderly or disabled individuals

+ Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide, Homemaker, CNA, MA, or similar certification where required

+ Basic technology skills and comfort using mobile devices, apps, and electronic documentation systems

+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills

+ Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused approach

+ Ability to work independently and adapt to changing assignments

+ Reliable personal transportation, current registration, and auto insurance

+ Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area

+ Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and perform physical caregiving duties
