Job Title

Maintenance Mechanic

Location

St. Joseph, MO (Pear Street)

Shifts:

1st Shift (6:30am-2:30pm), 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:00pm) and 3rd shift (10:00pm-6:00am). Overtime and weekends may be required. Weekend shift +$0.50/hr. Paid weekly on Fridays.

Job Responsibilities

+ Troubleshooting and repairing machinery and facility equipment

+ Repairs machines, jigs, fixtures, gauges and fits replacement parts and/or makes replacement parts as required

+ Must be able to do electrical, plumbing, heating and roofing repairs

+ Must be able to read schematics and electronic blueprints

+ Must be capable of servicing and operating rectifiers

+ Must be capable of operating precision hand tools and electronic equipment

+ Adjusts machines for production when adjustment is beyond the scope of operator

+ Maintains and installs piping, fittings, valves, gauges and all types of controls for hydraulic systems, gas and air lines

+ Requires ability to set up and operate lathe, milling machine, drill press, grinder, power saws, welder, etc.

+ Makes periodic checks of machines and equipment and performs preventive maintenance as required; i.e. oils, greases, etc.

+ Performs carpentry and sheet metal work in fabricating and repairing benches, guards, boxes, trays, etc.

Qualifications

+ Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and working on computerized equipment

+ Basic math, reading and writing skills

+ Able to work in a fast pace environment, multi-task, and track workload

+ Able to read and schematics and blueprints

+ Able to work overtime and weekends as needed

+ Must be able to wear required PPE (if applicable)

+ Qualified applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident card holder. Sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications

+ A High School diploma or equivalent

+ PLC troubleshooting experience preferred but not required
