Job Summary and Qualifications

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) carries out individualized therapy programs including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize a patient's progress toward achieving functional goals. The Speech Therapist supervises therapy aides and students. Your role will include:

+ You will perform comprehensive patient assessments and establish appropriate treatment goals and programs for patients in Acute care, Inpatient Rehab, and/or Outpatient.

+ You will coordinate the treatment program with other clinical/therapeutic services.

+ You will develop comprehensive goals for treatment to maximize patient outcomes.

+ You will deliver care and modify the care plan in accordance with the patient's needs.

+ You will serve as an educator to patients, families, student's and colleagues.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

+ Master's degree in Speech - Language Pathology

+ Current Missouri State professional license or license eligible

+ Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology(CCC-SLP) from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) OR currently completing Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in the process to obtain the CCC-SLP within 2 years from hire date.

+ BCLS required

+ Prior one year of hospital/health care related experience is preferred.
