Responsibilities are performed under moderate supervision.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

- Uses engineering software, spreadsheets, or performs design computations to develop bridge design aids.
- Develops spreadsheets for limited scope design tasks.
- Reviews American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Load Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) code articles and compares with engineering policy guidance.
- Reviews history files for data collection.
- Assists the Bridge Management section with bridge load-rating, collecting, and inputting National Bridge Inventory data, working on special rating projects, and helping with bridge inspections (if desired).
- Performs other responsibilities as required or assigned.
