This position may be filled at one of the three levels based on knowledge, skills, and abilities. The entry salary is posted above, with the intermediate starting salary of $66,634.32, and a senior starting salary of $71,964.96.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

- Coordinates the department's safety and occupational health programs.
- Identifies and assesses risks, exposures, and hazards through development and management of control strategies for department operations.
- Measures, evaluates, audits, and continually improves the effectiveness of hazard controls and control programs.
- Conducts safety training, performs ergonomic assessments, and organizes industrial hygiene testing; may coordinate workplace security programs, including training.
- Conducts or directs investigations of workplace incidents involving department employees to determine cause and make preventative recommendations; may assess and review workplace locations for security risks.
