Responsibilities

- Assist with the configuration, operation, and maintenance of ITS field devices including CCTV cameras, DMS boards, network switches, communication cabinets, and associated hardware.
- Help monitor fiber-optic and wireless communication systems to support reliable ITS connectivity and identify potential issues.
- Support basic VPN account administration, user access setup, and documentation of changes under staff guidance.
- Help maintain hardware inventories, update system documentation, and organize configuration records for ITS equipment.
- Assist with field inspections, device testing, and simple diagnostic activities for ITS devices and network equipment.
- Prepare basic technical documentation, reports, and internal communication materials related to ITS operations.
- Accompany staff to meetings with contractors, vendors, or utility partners and assist with coordination for root-cause analysis.
- Assist in setting up new ITS devices, network configurations, or equipment testing during system upgrades or expansions.
- Provide general technical support to department personnel regarding ITS devices, communication issues, and hardware organization.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
