Responsibilities

- Assist with responding to emergency calls for malfunctioning signal, lighting, ITS, aviation, navigational, and communication equipment, and support staff in taking appropriate corrective action.
- Help investigate and respond to customer service reports related to signal and lighting operations and other electronic/electrical traffic control devices.
- Support staff in responding to routine and emergency utility locate requests from Missouri One Call.
- Assist with scheduling, inspecting, and performing installation, repair, and maintenance activities for signals, communication equipment, ITS devices, roadway lighting, aviation lighting, and other electronic/electrical traffic control systems.
- Review highway, signal, and lighting plans for proper design and application of traffic control devices.
- Assist in using software tools to communicate with and program signal equipment and radio communication devices.
- Assist with inspecting work related to signal, lighting or electronic traffic equipment.
- Support installation, troubleshooting, and repair activities for signal and lighting systems.
- Maintain basic records and documentation related to signal, lighting, and communication equipment installation or maintenance.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
