Responsibilities

What you'll do:

- Leads crews in drilling activities necessary to obtain material samples and data for subsurface investigations.
- Directs the selection, set up, and dismantling of drilling location.
- Operates power control center from drilling station to raise and lower mast, install pipe, casing, core barrels and drill rods, govern speed of rotation, bit penetration rate, and drilling fluid pressure.
- Supervises removal, packing, and identification of cores, and creates a geological logging of boring holes.
- Maintains inventory, equipment, and vehicle records.
