Job Title: Mechanical Engineer PE I

Location: St. Louis, Missouri

Compensation: $100,000.00 to $150,000.00

Work Model: Hybrid - onsite and remote

Overview

The Mechanical Engineer PE I applies standard engineering techniques to design, analyze, test, maintain, repair, or improve products, components, or assemblies.

Responsibilities

+ Apply standard engineering techniques to design, analyze, test, maintain, repair, or improve products, components, or assemblies.

+ Responsible for signing and sealing engineering documents.

+ Analyze, develop, and evaluate systems.

+ Improve and maintain current systems or create new projects.

+ Design and draft blueprints, visit systems in the field, and manage projects.

+ Apply engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment.

+ Perform work under general supervision.

+ Handle complex issues and problems, referring only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.

Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering and Professional Engineer License (PE)

+ 4-6 years of experience

+ Working knowledge of the subject matter

+ Critical thinking skills

+ Problem solving skills

+ Mathematic skills

+ Computer skills

+ Technical expertise

+ Effective verbal and written communication skills

+ Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment

+ Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary

+ Travel requirement: 5-10% of time spent traveling to job site(s)/office location

+ Physical/Work Environment Requirements: ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles; climbing stairs; moving self in different positions; working in tight and confined spaces; repeating motions; operating machinery and power tools; outdoor elements; noisy environment; light to heavy work including lifting 20-100 pounds
