Event Setup & Delivery Crew Member
Summary
The Bounce House Company is looking for dependable, hardworking people to join our Event Setup & Delivery Crew.
Our crews deliver, set up, break down and pick up bounce houses, water slides, obstacle courses, games, tables, chairs and other party and event equipment throughout the Greater St. Louis area.
This is a physical, fast-paced, mostly outdoor position. You'll spend your shift working with a crew, moving equipment, setting up events and helping make sure our customers' parties start on time.
If you like staying active, working outside, being part of a team and doing something different every day, this could be a great fit.
No party-rental experience is required. We will train the right person.
Responsibilities
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Ride with a Crew Leader to customer homes, parks, schools, churches, businesses and event venues.
- Load and unload bounce houses, water slides, obstacle courses and other rental equipment.
- Help move heavy inflatable units using dollies and proper team-lifting techniques.
- Unroll, position, inflate and properly secure inflatable equipment.
- Install stakes, straps, sandbags and other required anchoring equipment.
- Set up tables, chairs, games and other party equipment.
- Assist with larger event and festival setups as assigned.
- Deflate, roll, secure and load inflatables during pickup.
- Clean and inspect equipment when needed.
- Help organize and prepare equipment at our St. Charles facility.
- Follow company safety procedures and instructions from your Crew Leader.
- Treat customers, their property and fellow employees professionally.
- Work efficiently as a team to keep deliveries and pickups on schedule.
THIS JOB IS PHYSICAL
We want applicants to know what the job involves before applying.
You should be comfortable:
- Working outdoors during Missouri summers and changing weather conditions.
- Walking, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting throughout your shift.
- Repeatedly lifting and carrying 50+ pounds individually.
- Helping a team maneuver inflatable units weighing several hundred pounds using appropriate equipment.
- Rolling large inflatables tightly enough for transportation.
- Working at a fast pace when multiple events are scheduled.
- Getting dirty or sweaty. This is hands-on event work.
You will not be expected to lift a several-hundred-pound inflatable by yourself. Heavy equipment is moved using team lifting, dollies and proper equipment-handling procedures.

- Can work without constantly being supervised.
Previous experience in moving, landscaping, construction, warehouse work, athletics, event setup or other physical jobs can be helpful, but it is not required.
