Your role and responsibilities

The Oracle Cloud Business Development Executive - Manufacturing is responsible for developing and driving integrated Oracle Cloud solutions that address complex client business challenges across the manufacturing industry. This role partners with senior client stakeholders to define transformation strategies that deliver measurable business value while supporting IBM Consulting growth objectives and strategic priorities.

The successful candidate operates as a senior business development and solution leader with deep industry expertise, strategic insight, and the ability to influence executive decision-making. This individual is expected to lead transformational opportunities focused on Oracle Cloud technologies, including ERP, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, Finance, ERP, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, Finance, Procurement, and related digital transformation capabilities.

This position requires high levels of autonomy, executive presence, strategic thinking, and the ability to shape large-scale consulting engagements that drive sustainable client outcomes and organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute business development strategies focused on Oracle Cloud solutions within the manufacturing sector.

- Identify, qualify, and close large sector.

- Identify, qualify, and close large-scale transformation opportunities aligned to client business objectives and IBM Consulting growth strategies.

- Build trusted advisor relationships with C-level executives and senior business leaders across manufacturing organizations.

- Lead integrated solution development efforts that combine industry expertise, Oracle Cloud technologies, IBM Consulting capabilities, and partner ecosystems.

- Anticipate market trends, client challenges, and emerging opportunities through analytical analysis and strategic insight.

- Shape organizational and client transformation initiatives through innovative technology-led business solutions.

- Lead complex negotiations, strategic proposals, and executive presentations with lasting business impact.

- Collaborate across IBM Consulting practices, Oracle alliance teams, global delivery organizations, and third-party partners to drive successful outcomes.

- Influence major strategic decisions related to client transformation programs and long-term growth strategies.

- Mentor and guide teams across multiple levels, fostering high-performance collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

- Drive the adoption of leading practices that optimize operational efficiency, productivity, and business performance.

- Represent IBM Consulting as a strategic thought leader in Oracle Cloud transformation within the manufacturing industry.

Work Environment

This role operates in a highly collaborative and client-facing consulting environment and may require travel based on client and business needs. The position requires strategic leadership, executive engagement, and the ability to lead transformational initiatives across complex enterprise organizations.

This role can be performed in any location in the US.

* Demonstrated expertise in Oracle Cloud business development, enterprise transformation, and consultative solution selling.

* Strong understanding of manufacturing industry operations, business processes, market trends, and digital transformation priorities.

* Proven ability to develop integrated technology and business solutions that address complex client needs.

* Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate future business challenges and opportunities.

* Experience leading complex executive-level negotiations, proposals, and strategic engagements.

* Expertise in building, coaching, and mentoring high-performing teams and future leaders.

* Deep understanding of enterprise cloud transformation strategies, operational efficiency initiatives, and technology-driven business innovation.

* Strong collaboration, leadership, and conflict resolution skills in highly matrixed environments.

* Proven track record of achieving sales growth, business development objectives, and transformational client outcomes.

Preferred technical and professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience selling and delivering Oracle Cloud solutions within large manufacturing enterprises.

* Knowledge of Oracle Cloud ERP, SCM, Procurement, Manufacturing, EPM, or related Oracle applications.

* Experience working within global consulting organizations or enterprise technology environments.

* Established executive relationships within manufacturing industry accounts.

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
