So, what will you be doing as a Comfort Core Operator?
SKILL REQUIREMENTS: • Possess basic mechanical knowledge. • Ability to read specifications. • Ability to make adjustments on machinery. • Meet incentive requirements. • Demonstrate ability to operate and perform maintenance on Comfort Core Assemblers. • Ability to read measuring devices. • Demonstrate safe work practices and use appropriate PPE. • Complete EOJT training to level available. • Regular attendance. • Use computer system as required for position. • Successfully complete Worksteps physical for Assembler/Conveyor Operator rated Very Heavy. • Work effectively with co-workers, supervision and management • Follow instruction.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Continuously stand and walk in work area. • Frequently use hands to pull coils and coil baskets to assembler. • Frequently lift units weighing up to 75 pounds off assembler onto carts, stacking units up to 70 inches high. (Some machines are equipped with automated lifts assist which greatly reduces the frequency with which units will be lifted.) • Push/pull carts to the roll pack line when needed: Push/pull Baskets by hand when needed. • Additional physical requirements include bending, climbing on machines and reaching. • Visual ability necessary to see quality defects.
JOB DUTIES: • Secure all supplies necessary to operate assemblers. • Load coils strands . • Start machine quickly to keep the assemblers operating at all times. • Perform changeovers efficiently and to specifications. • Perform daily safety check, notify supervisor of any safety issues needing corrected. • Keep all guards in place. • Perform daily, weekly and monthly maintenance on machinery. • Provide input to supervision or maintenance concerning equipment issues. • Document all production information, downtime and machine problems. • Perform all necessary quality checks to ensure units meet specifications. • Keep work area clean and follow 6S procedures. • Follow scrap procedures. • Work overtime as needed. • Train new employees. • Participate in all L & P initiatives, ISO 9001:2015, TPM, Continuous Improvement, ECO, etc. • Perform other duties or tasks as assigned
This is an hourly position on 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Successful candidates must pass a drug screen and physical.
