Permanent Grounds Maintenance Worker
Summary
Multiple positions available. The employee will perform year-round commercial and residential grounds maintenance to preserve the appearance, cleanliness, and condition of client properties.
Duties include pruning and shaping shrubs and ornamental plants; planting, transplanting, and replacing trees, shrubs, flowers, and other landscape materials; installing mulch, topsoil, decorative stone, compost, and sod; maintaining landscape beds; removing weeds, debris, and unwanted vegetation; loading, unloading, and transporting materials, tools, and equipment; operating commercial landscaping equipment and hand and power tools; maintaining equipment and keeping work areas clean and organized; inspecting completed work to ensure quality standards; performing snow removal and salting applications during winter weather events to maintain safe access to client properties; and performing other grounds maintenance duties as assigned.
Position requires frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Work is performed at commercial and residential properties throughout the employer's service area with employer-provided transportation to and from a centralized pickup location.
Commercial Landscape Equipment Used: zero-turn mowers, stand-on mowers, walk-behind mowers, string trimmers, backpack blowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, edgers, trailers, spreaders, and other hand and power tools used in grounds maintenance and snow removal.
5 months of experience performing commercial or residential grounds maintenance, as a Grounds Maintenance Worker, or similar occupation.
Work will be performed on local area jobsites with employer provided transportation to and from jobsites from a centralized pickup location in the specified area of employment.
