Job Title: Warehouse Worker Job Description

The primary role of the warehouse worker is to efficiently receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from the stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard.

Responsibilities

+ Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using a computer.

+ Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.

+ Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.

+ Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.

+ Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.

+ Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

+ Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.

+ Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.

+ Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.

+ Analytical and problem-solving ability.

+ Team player and detail-oriented.

+ Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective security operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with lifting, scanning, picking, packing, auditing, shipping & receiving.

+ Proficiency with RF scanner and inventory management.

+ Ability to work on feet for up to 10-hour shifts.

+ Ability to match labels and read/write/comprehend English.

Workers are allowed to use one earbud/pod to listen to music or podcasts during their shifts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
