As a Security Officer Full Time Gate Position in Kansas City, MO , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a professional presence that helps deter incidents. You will use computer or tablet-based systems to support access-related operations while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:
+ Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
+ Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct approved personnel and deliveries to appropriate areas.
+ Help maintain access-control integrity at an industrial location by observing restricted-area activity and reporting unauthorized access attempts or policy concerns.
+ Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established security-related procedures and escalation protocols.
+ Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, the facility perimeter, and other assigned areas; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Access control and badge experience is preferred.
+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
