Job Description:

As a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant , you'll contribute to our success in the following ways:

+ Provide occupational therapy services by following the care plan developed by the Occupational Therapist.

+ Visit patients regularly and monitor their progress during each visit.

+ Report changes in a patient's condition to the Occupational Therapist, physician, and care team.

+ Follow physician orders and the established plan of care.

+ Teach patients and caregivers home therapy exercises and safe techniques.

+ Work closely with the care team to provide coordinated, high-quality patient care.

+ Complete accurate and timely documentation for each patient visit.

+ Help reduce avoidable hospital and emergency room visits through proactive patient care.

+ Stay up to date on healthcare regulations and agency policies.

+ Work in a physically active role that may include lifting, transferring patients, and occasional irregular or on-call hours.

What is Required?

+ Graduate of a certified occupational therapy curriculum established by the Occupational Therapy Association

+ Current, unrestricted COTA certification in the state of work

+ Minimum one (1) year of experience as a COTA in a clinical care setting

+ Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients and moving equipment

+ Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain an acceptable driving record, OR have reliable transportation to travel between patient homes and assigned work locations.
