Sales Effectiveness Advisor, Pitch Strategies

Role Summary

The Advisor, Pitch Strategies partners directly with Evernorth Sales and Account Management teams to support acquisition and retention opportunities. Through audience-focused messaging, presentation development, presenter coaching, and application of storytelling methodologies, this individual provides strategic support for opportunities and serves as a trusted consultant to key stakeholders. Working across Sales, Account Management, Marketing, Product, and subject matter experts, the Advisor helps align cross-functional partners around a cohesive communication strategy that strengthens presentation effectiveness and drives meaningful customer engagement. The role manages strategic pitch support from planning through execution, translating complex information into clear, compelling narratives and helping presenters effectively communicate Evernorth's value and differentiation. The Advisor brings strong project management, communication, and consultative skills, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of quality across client-facing deliverables. The role also contributes to the continued evolution of pitch strategy capabilities by applying best practices, sharing expertise, and identifying opportunities to strengthen tools, resources, and presentation readiness across the organization.

Core responsibilities

+ Lead end-to-end support for acquisition and retention engagements, including project planning, audience-focused messaging, presentation development, presenter preparation, and execution.

+ Apply storytelling methodologies to help teams translate business strategy and customer insights into clear, differentiated, and compelling presentations.

+ Coach presenters on message and content delivery as it relates to opportunity strategy and within the meeting framework

+ Consult with Sales and Account Management stakeholders on communication strategy, presentation effectiveness, and the overall customer experience.

+ Coordinate Marketing, Product, subject matter experts, and other contributors to align content, messaging, and delivery.

+ Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong stakeholder communication and attention to detail.

+ Contribute to process improvements, training efforts, best practices, and tools that strengthen the team's effectiveness and presentation readiness.

+ Review client-facing materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, quality, and compliance before internal or external presentation.

+ Leverage AI to enhance messaging, challenge content, and act as a collaborative resource in daily outcomes

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred

+ 5+ years of experience in project management, sales effectiveness, presentation strategy, communications, training, consulting, or a related field.

Knowledge and abilities:

+ Demonstrated experience leading complex, client-facing projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

+ Strong consultative, verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.

+ Experience developing audience-focused messaging, executive presentations, and communication strategies.

+ Ability to coach presenters and provide constructive feedback in preparation for high-stakes interactions.

+ Ability to analyze complex business situations, synthesize information, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.

+ Proven ability to build alignment across Sales, Account Management, and cross-functional partners.

+ Strong organizational, project management, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

+ Excellent attention to detail

+ Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Copilot, and SharePoint; familiarity with Salesforce, Allego, SCI-PAB, or related methodologies preferred

+ Copy editing/writing experience are a plus

+ Health care experience is a plus
