Customer Service Representative - Finance

Zurich North America is currently looking for a Customer Service Representative based out of the Midwest Region. While this position will be based out of our Overland Park office, we are offering the flexibility to work remotely, so we are seeking candidates within the Midwest. You will collaborate with your manager to set a schedule that supports you, your customers, and the team.

The Customer Service Representative is part of the Finance Operations - Direct Bill Team. In this role you will be responsible for the resolution of customer billing inquiries, received by incoming calls and e-mails, by researching and partnering with internal business partners, ensuring the customer billing questions are answered and the actions taken meet or exceed the established service levels, regulations, and defined procedures. You will also ensure payments are properly applied and cancellations & reinstatements are processed timely.

Day to Day responsibilities

+ Manage inbound customer calls and emails related to billing, payments, and account inquiries.

+ Research billing questions and partner with internal teams to identify accurate and timely resolutions.

+ Communicate billing information and resolutions clearly and professionally to customers.

+ Reconcile customer accounts, investigate discrepancies, and facilitate necessary corrections.

+ Document customer interactions and provide appropriate follow-up through resolution.

+ Oversee payment applications, policy cancellations and reinstatements, and aging follow-ups to support accurate and timely account resolution.

Required:

+ High School Diploma or Equivalent and 3 or more years of experience in the Account Management area

OR

+ Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 1 or more years of experience in the Account Management area

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Billing experience

+ SAP experience

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

+ Experience working with all levels of an organization

+ Excellent people skills

+ Ability to problem solve

+ Analytical problem-solving skills

+ Critical thinking skills

+ Ability to deescalate, show empathy

+ Robust experience with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel

+ Experience with CRM software like Salesforce

Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. The pay range shown is a national average and may vary by location.The proposed Hourly range for this position is $20.38-$23.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 5%.
