Job Summary

Job Summary:

The Floating Patient Food Services Coordinator oversees the daily operations of the patient services department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and administrative support. This role involves supervising staff, resolving patient concerns, coordinating with clinical teams, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Operational Oversight

+ Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the patient services team.

+ Ensure smooth patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.

+ Monitor patient satisfaction and implement service improvements.

+ Staff Management

+ Hire, train, and evaluate patient services staff.

+ Conduct regular team meetings and provide ongoing coaching.

+ Develop staff schedules and manage coverage for all shifts.

+ Patient Relations

+ Address and resolve patient complaints and concerns promptly.

+ Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and hospital departments.

+ Promote a patient-centered culture focused on empathy and responsiveness.

+ Compliance & Quality Assurance

+ Ensure adherence to hospital policies and healthcare regulations.

+ Maintain accurate records and generate reports on patient services.

+ Participate in audits and implement corrective actions as needed.

+ Collaboration

+ Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to coordinate care.

+ Support strategic initiatives to enhance patient experience.

+ Participate in cross-functional committees and improvement projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and patient care standards.

+ Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
