About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Secretary / Bookkeeper to join our team. This position combines administrative support with day-to-day bookkeeping responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a variety of tasks and takes pride in accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer and direct phone calls and respond to emails professionally.
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and other office documents.
- Organize and maintain filing systems, both digital and paper.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
- Prepare invoices, receipts, and financial records.
- Assist with payroll processing and maintain employee records.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records using accounting software.
- Perform general office duties and provide administrative support as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an administrative or bookkeeping role preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Passport, or similar.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
