Job Title: Manufacturing Laborer

Job Description

This role involves performing a variety of general labor tasks in a metal manufacturing environment, supporting welders, machine operators, and metal fabrication workers by preparing parts, handling materials, and using hand and power tools safely and accurately.

Responsibilities

+ Prepare metal parts and components for welders, machine operators, and metal fabrication workers according to specifications.

+ Assist with material handling, including loading and unloading materials, parts, and finished products.

+ Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to support metal fabrication and production activities.

+ Measure materials accurately using a tape measure to ensure correct dimensions and quality.

+ Support general manufacturing production tasks as needed to maintain workflow and meet production goals.

+ Follow safety procedures and guidelines while working with metal materials, tools, and equipment.

+ Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient and safe operations.

+ Collaborate with team members and respond to direction from supervisors to complete daily assignments.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to perform general labor tasks in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.

+ Ability to use a tape measure accurately for measuring materials and parts.

+ Proficiency with basic hand tools used in metal fabrication and manufacturing.

+ Proficiency with basic power tools used in metal fabrication and manufacturing.

+ Experience with material handling, including loading and unloading materials and products.

+ Comfort working in a production environment with metal fabrication processes.

+ Ability to follow instructions and work safely around tools, equipment, and materials.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Any education related to the manufacturing industry is a bonus.

+ Any certifications related to the manufacturing industry are a bonus.

+ Overhead crane experience is a bonus.

+ Previous experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing production is beneficial.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springfield, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
