Environmental Services Technician (Housekeeping)- PRN
Summary
Performs routine cleaning tasks in patient rooms, procedure areas, restrooms, public areas, clinics, and offices according to established protocols.
· Interacts professionally with patients, visitors, staff, and the public, using approved scripting and maintaining a service-oriented approach.
· Maintains patient confidentiality and privacy in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
· Follows all infection control guidelines, including the use of PPE and isolation room procedures.
· Handles soiled linen, regular waste, and medical waste in accordance with department safety standards.
· Delivers and stocks clean linen, monitors par levels, and enters data using handheld or desktop computers.
· Operates equipment such as vacuums and carts safely and reports any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
· Follows safety protocols when working with wet floors, ladders, and cleaning equipment to prevent accidents.
· Maintains equipment in clean, safe working condition and ensures the work area is compliant with inspection standards.
· May assist Floor Care Technicians or support team development tasks as assigned.
· May complete unit/department-specific duties as outlined in department documents.
