As a Security Officer in Kansas City, MO , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. You will communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors while responding to concerns and reporting observations. Mon02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Wed02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Thur02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Fri02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Respond to incidents, student or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established school procedures.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

+ Monitor access points and assist with visitor management in accordance with site-specific policies and school schedules.

+ Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
