Job Title: Warehouse Worker Job Description

The role of a Record Center Specialist involves physical tasks such as kneeling, squatting, reaching, and bending forward frequently throughout the shift. The primary duties include moving, arranging, lifting, and loading storage boxes, bins, and totes, which can weigh between 24 lbs to over 100 lbs. These tasks are performed manually and with the use of hand carts.

Responsibilities

+ Process orders and move boxes containing files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials.

+ Manually lift, carry, and arrange boxes while standing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, and twisting.

+ Lift and carry boxes weighing from 10 lbs to 100 lbs on a regular basis without assistance.

+ Safely operate hand trucks and pallet jacks on uneven and concrete surfaces.

+ Walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, and bend for extended periods.

+ Work independently to grip, lift, push, pull, and carry boxes over various surfaces and elevations.

+ Read and write English proficiently.

+ Utilize the proprietary computer system to track orders and determine box locations.

+ Operate handheld scanners and climb ladders.

+ Load and shrink-wrap pallets at ground level or on carts.

+ Load boxes onto pallets and trucks manually and with material handling aids.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to pack, load, and unload trucks.

+ Experience in boxing and package handling.

+ Proficiency in using pallet jacks and order picking.

+ Competency in using RF scanners and performing computer operations and data entry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Preferred warehouse experience.

+ Proficiency in reading and writing English.

Work Environment

This position is based in a warehouse building/office space environment. Work hours are Monday to Friday, with a day shift schedule of 9-hour shifts that include a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Kansas City, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
