Shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

Looking for a Welding Job With Steady Work?

Hiring experienced welders to repair barges and tugboats along the river. This position is primarily stick welding (95%) with some fabrication, fitting, torch cutting, and grinding. Candidates should be comfortable reading blueprints, using a tape measure, and working in an outdoor industrial environment. Great opportunity for welders who enjoy structural repair work and want steady, hands-on projects.

What You'll Be Doing

+ Perform structural repairs on barges and tugboats

+ Use stick welding for most daily work (about 95%)

+ Read blueprints and drawings to complete repairs

+ Use MIG welders, cutting torches, grinders, and other fabrication tools

+ Measure and fit materials using a tape measure

+ Inspect damaged metal and determine repair needs

+ Grind and prepare surfaces for welding

+ Work with the team to complete repairs safely and on schedule

Work Environment

This is a hands-on welding position in a shipyard and barge repair setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
