Duties may include: Clean stalls, pens, and equipment, using disinfectant solutions, brushes, shovels, water hoses, or pumps. Examine animals to detect illness, injury, or disease, and to check physical characteristics, such as rate of weight gain. Mix feed, additives, and medicines in prescribed portions. Feed and water livestock and monitor food and water supplies. Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment, machinery, buildings, pens, yards, and fences. Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops. Checking water tanks, assisting cows during calving season, raking hay, hauling, baling hay, mowing hay & other related Livestock Worker; Farm Hand activities as per SOC/OES 45-2093 (onetonline.org). Possible weekend/holiday work. Employer guarantees to offer employment for a minimum of 3/4 of the workdays of the total specified period beginning with the workers first day, free housing provided to workers recruited from beyond the commuting area, transportation and subsistence expenses to the worksite will be provided or paid by the employer upon completion of 50% of the work contract or earlier.

The following deductions that are mandatory will be made from each paycheck: All applicable Federal and State taxes that are required to be deducted from U.S. workers and/or foreign workers. Federal Income Tax Withholding will only be deducted from H-2A employee's paycheck with the consent of both the employee and the employer. In the case that an H-2A employee does not provide a Social Security Number or an IRS issued Individual Taxpayer Identification Number AND the total annual wages for the employee are over $600, the employer must deduct backup withholding of 24% from each paycheck. Depending on housing location, worker may have a kitchen available for use. In that case, The employer will furnish cooking facilities, utilities, and utensils for workers to prepare their own meals in the housing provided kitchen. Included basic appliances will consist of, but is not limited to, refrigerator, stove/oven, and sink with hot and cold-water connections. All appliances included will be in good, working condition for the workers. Employer will provide transportation to grocery store at least once a week for workers who wish to shop for food. Otherwise, 3 meals per day will be provided to those workers who do not have access to free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities (all workers who are residing in public accommodations). All meals will include a daily source of protein, vitamins, and minerals.
