Key Responsibilities

+ Perform venipunctures and specimen collections.

+ Complete patient registration in EPIC.

+ Process and stabilize laboratory specimens.

+ Travel between multiple collection sites to provide staffing coverage for PTO, call-ins, and operational needs.

+ Deliver excellent customer service to patients and team members.

Qualifications

+ 5+ years of phlebotomy experience preferred.

+ Previous laboratory experience.

+ Strong computer skills.

+ Excellent customer service and communication skills.

+ Effective problem-solving abilities.

+ Dependable and flexible with changing work locations.

Schedule

+ Full-Time

+ No weekends or holidays

+ Holiday coverage rotation as needed

+ Various shift times depending on assigned location

Overview

_Northwest HealthCare_ , six miles west of Christian, offers 24- hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services.

Network Reference Lab is the Christian Hospital Laboratory Outreach program for marketing & providing lab services to hospitals, physician offices, clinics & other clients.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Performs a variety of pre analytic, analytic and post analytic laboratory duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

+ Performs waived and moderate complex testing with appropriate training and competency, sweat chloride collections, EKG's, etc.

+ Under supervision, reports test results as appropriate.

+ Sorts and processes routine and specific high level specimens received by the lab--including multistep technical processing (i.e. Histology, Microbiology, Cytology, etc.). Ensures correct processing and packaging for esoteric send out tests.

+ Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times.

+ Inventory management, equipment cleaning, maintenance, loading, etc.

+ High School Diploma or GED

Experience

+ 2-5 years

+ No Experience

+ Associate's Degree

Licenses & Certifications

+ Basic Life Support (BLS)

+ Phlebotomy
