Job Description

Medical Assistant - Vascular Clinic

Lee's Summit Location

Join Saint Luke's Vascular Clinic and play a vital role in supporting patients with vascular health needs. This position combines direct patient care, care coordination, and administrative responsibilities while working alongside providers and nursing staff in a collaborative specialty clinic environment.

What You'll Do

✅ Patient Care

+ Perform pre-visit planning and prepare patients for appointments

+ Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information

+ Review medications, allergies, and health information for accuracy

+ Administer injections and coordinate vaccines

+ Perform phlebotomy as needed

+ Assist providers with procedures as needed

+ Conduct telephone screening using established protocols

+ Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional and compassionate demeanor

✅ Vascular Clinic Support

+ Support physicians and nursing staff in the care of patients with vascular conditions

+ Assist with patient education and follow-up care coordination

+ Communicate provider instructions regarding diagnostic testing, medications, procedures, and follow-up appointments

+ Coordinate referrals, testing, and specialty services as directed

+ Support efficient patient flow and clinic operations

✅ Administrative Responsibilities

+ Utilize the EMR system for documentation and patient care coordination

+ Scan and upload documents into the electronic medical record

+ Complete prior authorizations, prescription refill requests, and other administrative tasks as needed

+ Schedule appointments, testing, and follow-up visits

+ Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

+ Provide front office coverage as needed

+ Perform additional duties based on clinic needs
