Lead / Set Up Machinist
Summary
The position demands highly developed skills as a machinist with outstanding machining proficiency and a conceptual understanding of the tooling effects on a given job. This technical position requires independent thought, analysis and performance duties without supervision.
The position is responsible for the ACME/Davenport Primary Department (screw machines) to include - machine set up – machine maintenance and troubleshooting – training and support of machine operators – machine production.
The position requires business and personal communication skills with machine operators and management staff.

Experience Requirements
EXPERIENCE
Must have direct experience on multi-spindle machines (ACME preferred) to include operation, set up, tooling skills, deep maintenance and quality control requirements
Must have advanced blue print reading skills and the conceptual understanding of workpiece to print relationship - allowing for a successful completion of a finished part in conformance with QC tolerances and specifications
SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE
ü Multi-spindle machine (ACME) tooling – 5 years
ü Mathematical skills (trigonometry proficient) – 5 years
ü Multi-spindle machine (ACME) set up skills – 5 years
ü Multi-spindle machine (ACME) troubleshooting and deep maintenance – 5 years
