So, what will you be doing as a Material Handler/Utility?

SKILL REQUIREMENTS: • Demonstrate ability to understand job requirements and complete training • Past experience operating forklifts or ability to learn the job • Perform clerical duties as required • Demonstrate safe work practices and use appropriate PPE • Pass forklift and expeditor driving and written tests • Demonstrate care and consideration for pedestrians, machinery and building structures • Regular attendance • Use computer and scanning system as required for position • Work effectively with co-workers, supervision, and management • Follow instructions

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Continuous sitting on forklift • Position requires bending, climbing, carrying, twisting, reaching and lifting of materials as required to fulfill job responsibilities • Continuous standing on expeditor

JOB DUTIES: • Transport merchandise from storage or production areas to other storage areas or to transportation vehicles using forklift, expeditors, handcarts, or other equipment. • Package goods to L&P specification and correctly load or store merchandise. • Verify labels are scanned to the Work Order on the shipping documents, verify all merchandise unloaded. • Correctly identify and load merchandise according to the Work Orders. • Return all merchandise damaged or improperly packaged to the correct production area for re-packaging or crating. • Keep materials in stock to perform job. • Perform daily safety inspection of forklift, notify supervisor of any safety issues needing corrected. • Notify Supervision of problems that hinder production or product that does not meet production specifications. • Perform daily preventative maintenance on equipment. • Provide input to supervision or maintenance concerning equipment issues. • Keep work area clean and follow 6S procedures. • Work overtime as needed. • Train new employees. • Participate in all L & P initiatives, ISO 9001:2015, TPM, Continuous Improvement, ECO, etc. • Perform other duties or tasks as assigned. • Understand computer screens needed to input information.

This is an hourly position from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

Successful candidates must pass a drug screen.
