This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, maintaining facility operations, and taking ownership of preventative maintenance programs.

Position Details:

+ Employment Type: Direct Hire | Full-Time

+ Salary: $65,000-$85,000 annually, based on experience

Position Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and building systems across two facilities. This position plays a critical role in ensuring equipment reliability, facility safety, and efficient daily operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial equipment maintenance, building systems, preventative maintenance, and coordinating outside contractors.

Key Responsibilities

+ Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production machinery and facility equipment.

+ Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues.

+ Install, modify, repair, and replace machinery components and equipment.

+ Coordinate outside contractors and third-party vendors for specialized repairs, maintenance, and inspections.

+ Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules, equipment logs, and maintenance documentation.

+ Support equipment installations, including alignment, balancing, and safety inspections before startup.

+ Assist with facility maintenance projects, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.

+ Coordinate required safety and compliance inspections, including fire suppression systems, compressed air systems, and backflow prevention.

+ Participate in facility safety initiatives and maintain safety inspection records.

+ Collaborate with operations leadership to prioritize maintenance projects and identify opportunities for improvement.

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following Lean 5S principles.

Qualifications

+ Previous experience in industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a similar technical role.

+ Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

+ Working knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance.

+ Experience performing preventative maintenance on manufacturing or production equipment.

+ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.

+ Experience coordinating contractors and outside service providers preferred.

+ Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office for maintenance tracking and documentation.

+ Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and communicate effectively with leadership.

+ Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, SQF, or food manufacturing environments is a plus.

+ Flexibility to work nights, weekends, or holidays when necessary.
