About the Role
We are looking for an outgoing, reliable, and responsible Experienced Tax Professional to join our team for the upcoming tax season (December through April 16th). As a trusted advisor, you will help clients navigate complex tax situations with confidence, prepare accurate returns, and uncover savings opportunities.

This is a seasonal position with the potential for a full-time, year-round appointment, transitioning into bookkeeping and accounting support after the tax season. What You'll Do

Tax Preparation: Prepare and electronically file complete, accurate federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses (primarily Forms 1040, 1120-S, and 1065, including Schedules C and E).

Document Analysis: Review and analyze W-2s, 1099s, financial statements, organizers, receipts, and internal notes to build organized supporting workpapers.

Client Advisory: Meet with clients to explain tax concepts in friendly language, resolve missing or conflicting information, and educate them on how to optimize their financial outcomes for the next year.

Client Services: Manage client drop-offs, answer inquiries, and provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and basic audit guidance.

Accounting Support: Complete assigned bookkeeping, account reconciliations, and accounting corrections in QuickBooks Online.

Team Collaboration: Research tax questions, document findings, collaborate on complex returns, and address internal reviewer feedback thoroughly before deadlines.

Experience Requirements

Required Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Minimum 1 year of paid experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.

Proven ability to prepare complete individual and business returns from supporting financial records.

Experience working in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in tax preparation and financial services.

CPA, Enrolled Agent (EA), or other IRS Circular 230 credentials.

Advanced experience with complex tax returns, tax planning, audit support, or tax notice resolution.
